Kit Coolrooms designed and manufactured to client’s specific requirements
Total Coolrooms manufacture a range of custom-built kit rooms for clients as part of our product offering.
Michael Dodd approached us with an interesting challenge. His brief was for us to manufacture the following sized rooms for a BP station based in Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory:
- Storeroom 7200mm (L) x 7200mm (W) x 2400mm (H)
- Freezer Room 3500mm (L) x 3500mm (W) x 2400mm (H)
- Fridge Storage Section 1: 8500mm (L) x 5000 (W) x 2400mm (H)
- Fridge Storage Section 2: 11500mm (L) x 2000 (W) x 2400mm (H)
In this room, a total of 24 display fridge inserts would also have to be incorporated into the build.
This was one of the largest kit rooms manufactured, with over 131 panels and 30 glass insert doors.
The kit was manufactured on our premises in Heidelberg West and each panel was cut and numbered with a full set of installation instructions provided to the client. The flooring was also provided as Tennant Creek is subject to high temperatures and humidity. Total Coolrooms also provided telephone support to assist with any queries the client had whilst installing this very expansive kit.
The installation went smoothly and the client was able to deliver the project on budget. This was the most complicated kit we have produced and it is a testament to the skills and high standards of our technicians. We achieved a great outcome for our client.
Client Testimonial:
“From all of us at BP Tennant Creek we would like to congratulate you and your team for our kit freezer and cool rooms. As with any large project like this we were bound to encounter the odd problem, and when we did you were able to guide us smooth through any issues we had.
Being in a very remote part of Australia is always going to be a challenge for us and to have you guys supporting us all the way was very reassuring.
I would highly recommend Total Coolrooms to anyone wanting professionalism in this field“
